This Ergonomics Awareness training course provides employees with the knowledge needed to recognize ergonomic risk factors in the workplace and understand how proper work practices can help prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), discomfort, and injuries. The course introduces basic ergonomic principles and emphasizes the importance of fitting workplace tasks, tools, and equipment to the capabilities of the employee.
Participants will learn to identify common ergonomic hazards, including repetitive motions, awkward postures, excessive force, prolonged sitting or standing, vibration, and improper lifting techniques. The training also covers proper workstation setup, safe material handling practices, body positioning, lifting techniques, and practical methods for reducing physical strain. Emphasis is placed on recognizing early signs and symptoms of ergonomic-related injuries and promptly reporting concerns before they become more serious.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to recognize common ergonomic hazards, identify risk factors that may contribute to musculoskeletal injuries, apply basic ergonomic principles to everyday work activities, and follow safe work practices that help reduce physical strain and promote a healthier, safer, and more productive workplace.
