This Confined Space Awareness training course provides employees with the knowledge needed to recognize confined spaces, understand the hazards associated with entering or working around them, and follow safe work practices to prevent injury or fatalities. The course introduces OSHA confined space requirements, common workplace hazards, and the responsibilities of employees in identifying and avoiding unsafe conditions.
Participants will learn to identify the characteristics of confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces, recognize atmospheric, physical, and mechanical hazards, understand warning signs and entry restrictions, and become familiar with the roles of authorized entrants, attendants, and entry supervisors. The training also covers hazard control measures, emergency procedures, and the importance of following site-specific confined space programs.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to recognize confined space hazards, understand the limitations of awareness-level training, identify when permit-required entry procedures apply, and support compliance with OSHA regulations while contributing to a safer workplace.
