This Heat Stress Awareness and Heat Injury Prevention training course provides employees with the knowledge needed to recognize the hazards associated with working in hot environments and understand the precautions necessary to prevent heat-related illnesses and injuries. The course addresses common workplace heat hazards, individual and environmental risk factors, and safe work practices for employees working indoors or outdoors in elevated temperatures.

Participants will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of heat-related conditions, including heat rash, heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke. The training covers hydration, acclimatization, appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE), work/rest schedules, environmental conditions, and methods for reducing heat exposure. Employees will also learn how to respond when a coworker shows signs of heat illness, including when immediate emergency medical assistance may be necessary.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to recognize heat stress hazards and risk factors, identify the signs and symptoms of heat-related illnesses, apply effective prevention strategies, and respond appropriately to potential heat emergencies. The course promotes employee awareness, early intervention, and safe work practices that help prevent heat-related injuries and support a safer and healthier workplace.
